A Certificate of Recognition can be provided to recognize individuals celebrating significant milestones, individual contributions to society, and community events.
A Proclamation can be requested to commemorate larger scale community or organizational milestones or events with historic and/or unique importance to the citizens of Riverside.
It should be noted that while the city aims to honor all requests received, the city retains the right to determine if a request will be honored, if a certificate or proclamation will be issued and the content that will be included.
It is our general policy to only issue certificates and proclamations that have a direct tie to Riverside.
Given the volume of requests received, all requests for certificates must be received 30 days in advance of the date needed and all requests for proclamations must be requested at least 45 days in advance of the date needed.
Proclamation requests will NOT be approved without 6 to 8 succinct bullet points that provides details such as:
